Meet our Clinicians
Evaluations conducted by our experienced clinicians specializing in autism diagnosis and behavioral assessment.
Dr. Mark Flynn
Mark Flynn started working with children while he was a Psychology student at Florida State University, initially providing one-on-one, in-home behavioral therapy to children on the spectrum. He majored in Clinical Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology at the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, completed specialty training at the University of Utah’s Autism Research Center during his internship at Primary Children’s Medical Center, and earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2003. Since then, Dr. Flynn has conducted thousands of comprehensive psychological evaluations for Community Behavioral Services in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Flynn’s full-time practice is at CBS, where he conducts a variety of evaluations for older children and adults, and for a wide variety of assessment types. Our goal at ACDC is focused solely on the initial diagnosis of autism in children under the age of five, and is self-pay only, we can bypass the lengthy pre-evaluation assessment process and offer our services at a competitive price and much sooner than when dealing with public or private third-party funding. For families interested in using insurance or in need of evaluations for older children or adults, we recommend you contact Community Behavioral Services. Evaluations with CBS will involve a moderate wait, and require pre-authorization and specific referrals. If you would like to pursue an evaluation with CBS, please follow the link below.

What Sets Us Apart
Fast and Accessible
Our goal is to eliminate the wait that families experience when having their child evaluated for Autism. We want to your child to be evaluated and diagnosed sooner, and closer to home so that they can receive services as early as possible. Our primary focus will be North Central Florida, an underserved portion of the state.
Reports that Meet All Requirements
Private insurance companies, Medicaid, and Tricare have strict requirements for a diagnostic evaluation to be considered an “official” or “valid” Autism diagnosis. Our CDE reports meet all of those requirements. We use multiple standardized evaluation tools and tests, and our clinical diagnostic team have completed all required trainings and continuing education on the those measures. If we do make a diagnosis, you will receive an integrated report that contains the test results from the best standardized evaluative tools for autism available, a thorough developmental history, a functional assessment of your child’s social communication, social awareness, adaptive behavioral functioning, and problem behaviors. The report will contain language regarding the medical necessity for the types of therapies your child may need, and it will contain the DSM-5 TR/ICD-10 diagnostic codes for insurance billing. Your child’s CDE report will also contain general and specific recommendations for special education services and Individual Education Planning including potential eligibility for developmental VPK programs.
Experienced, Ethical, and Compassionate Providers
Our clinical team has over 30 years of combined experience diagnosing and treating individuals with Autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders. Our team has a clear mission. We want to help young children on the autism spectrum gain access to the services and treatments they need as soon as possible.
Our diagnostic team consists of Katie Pabst Williams, M.S., BCBA, Mark Flynn, Psy.D., and Brenna Skye Jones, R.B.T. Dr. Flynn is a licensed psychologist and Katie Pabst-Williams is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Both will be working together with you and your child to administer and score the testing, record observations, and address parent concerns. These are in-person evaluations with two highly qualified experts in the field, and their combined experience will ensure the potential diagnosis or rule-out is accurate, valid, and reliable.
We know that there is more neuroplasticity in young brains, and the younger we can diagnose Autism and begin early interventions, the more of an impact those therapies will have on their developing minds. We know that the system is strained, and that is the problem we are trying to solve for your family. Parents are recognizing developmental delays and problem behaviors. Pediatricians are referring those children for early interventions. Unfortunately, children are often then put on long waiting lists to actually be evaluated for autism, even when the symptoms are obvious and the screeners are indicating high risk. When an 18 month old toddler is referred for an autism evaluation that does not take place until he is five years old, the system has failed that child. Our primary mission is to evaluate your child within weeks or months, not years after symptoms are apparent.
